I was railfanning this weekend along the BNSF Cajon and Needles subs. After taking some action in East Victorville I headed up past Oro Grande, I'm pretty sure I was by CP Bryman. Lots of cement plants up there, up the hill sitting on a siding I saw this beauty in what looks like fresh paint.
I think she is a long way from home.

Is the Bangor & Aroostook RR dead?

If so, anybody know who leased this unit?

Watco...(WAMX), owns a good portion of them. Im under the impression they purchased them from NRE, who got them from MMA, when they took over IronRoad/BAR. They're certainly not in fresh paint, but they have been pretty well cared for. I have been in the cabs of WAMX 353 and 360 and you wouldn't think that they were 30-some years old.

Watco has had several of these working various short lines in the Pacific NW. They've been seen in at least Washington, Idaho, Montana.
