Every month I get a mini-catalog from Walthers' Terminal Hobby Shop which has new releases from the manufacturers (including, of course, Walthers). I've used it to order things like my two Frisco GP15-1s and some buildings, all of which were on sale.

The lastest issue has a supplement with news on Aristo-Craft's large-scale Mikado, as well as a Basic Oxygen Furnace kit from Trix.

Who here on Trainboard gets the Walthers (or should I say Terminal Hobby Shop?) mini-catalog? Oh yes, if you don't and want to, it costs you nothing (my favorite price).

I made the mistake of having an order from Walthers shipped to my work address because the apartment I was living in at the time had lost several packages and mail. Then, the catalogs began coming....not only from Walthers, but from Micro-Mark, Model Expo and others. They apparently had my account entered twice, so not only one of each but two, so that I was getting "train-related" mail to my office about every 2-3 days. It became a real problem and it took almost a year to get all of the catalogs stopped....some still show up occasionally. I received a lot of negative comments because of the "personal" mail showing up in the company mail. Needless to say, I will NEVER order anything from Walthers ever again. [IMG]

I get the Terminal catalog but, for me, it's mostly useless. I model in N scale; there's not much N selection in the catalog.

Almost everything in that flyer is stuff that Walthers is discounting to clear out. They offer the same items to their dealers, with an appropriate discount, of course. I don't know how many dealers actually sell to their customers at the lower price, unless they already discount. Probably not too many. It's not too hard for a dealer to find lower discounts from other distributors...

it has been since about last fall, also. I'd take one again if I could get ahold of a current one. I don't even hold a current subscription for Model Railroader, ever since I only got 5 mags for the prioce of one year, Kalmbach failed to respond to emails and Letters, so I just gave up on them. Thinking about a couple others, Extra 2200 Eest and another one I can't remember.
