Not sure where to ask this: Which decoder can be used in the new Kato N scale sd 70Macs? Thanks in advance. Any company's decoder is OK.
How about the new AC4400CW. I tried to look at the digitrax site and couldn't find it. Scott thanks for the info!!
jeff dn163k1a fits the new ac4400 as well. BUT YOU NEED TO MODIFY THE INSIDE OF THE SHELL !! same annoying milling than with the C44-shells. but now for the good news. i heard that digitrax is working on a new decoder which doesn't require working on the shell. just giv'em a few weeks. btw, if you buy the dn163k1a with the golden white led's you'll encounter some problems while mounting in a sd40/sd40-2. you need to file down the led. so far i installed 50 of this type of decoder. beside a few installation problems it's probably the best decoder ever made.
Where did you hear that Sandro? I have 3 AC4400s and a C44 that need decoders. I was planning on making a purchase at the end of the month, but maybe I should wait a bit?
