    I've been debating picking up the Super Chief N-Scale for Kato. Their website says 'DCC Friendly' but I'm not finding any kits out there that say they are for the super chief, or for any F7-A/F7-B from Kato.

    I have a digitrax zephyr as my controller. Would like some more than simple functions if they have them so I could have fun with the kids kind of thing, but whatever is out there would be a good starting point for me.

    Only the Super Chief F7's are DCC friendly. The older Santa Fe F7's are not.

    There is a drop in decoder available from Digitrax. It may be listed as being for F3's but the same decoder is used in the Super Chief F7's.

    The latest release of the Kato F-3's and F-7's use the same Digitrax decoder.

    Stay cool and run steam....:cool::cool:

    I wrote Digitrax a while ago and they said the Digitrax DN163K0B was the correct decoder for the Kato F7's.
