I was reading a few topics about the steam Marklin models, and peoples seems to prefer the pacific
4-6-2 instead of the Mikado 2-8-2. and I'm not able to find why.

Someone would like to elaborate, I was thinking of perchasing a steamer lately.

    Thanks

The problem is bad running because it has power pickup on only two axles.

    Wow! really  that bad?

Thanks guys, I will stay away of that one. although it looks really cool with those 4 axles. It’s a pity!

They are correct with the pickup problems, however, I use a gaugemaster on my main layout and have few problems. Of course I always keep the wheels clean and the brushes. If you do that is it a nice loco. However the pacific is better.
