That tape you put on your locomotives to try and prevent shorts, which apparently I am a fan of killing decoders. I've had enough, and want insurance at least. When I clean my locomotive in the future I will add the magical tape to them. Thanks and examples of it's use are welcome.
That's it. On some of the boards we make at work, we use pre-cut pieces to insulate transistors from their heat sinks. Works like a charm.
What size do I get? Can you cut it to what you need? Never heard of it or used it before until it was mentioned here! I would imagine a roll will last me forever.
I like 1/4" as I can get it in more places and I can always add more. I'm in N scale. If HO might move up to 3/8" or 1/2". I'll PM you where I get mine as they have good pricing and flat rate shipping on items of $4 (the tape is less than that). Sumner
