Latest purchase, not shipped yet, is the 16 car of the American Freedom Train. Will be ordering the 17th and FINAL car of the AFT. Due July 2018. The sooner I can get it ordered, the better off I'll be! Assuring myself, I'll get one! Or anything I may find at upcoming train show(s).
Those arrived at the shop I do a lot of business with and immediately sold out first day @ $18.79 for the 3pk, so I missed out of course coming home after work seeing that...they are a nice set.
I saw on the Kato site that the new Olympian Hiawatha sets were shipping 11-1. Got a notice from my pre-order dealer that mine was shipping the 3rd. It arrived the 6th (yesterday). Hopefully it's OK.........I know it wasn't there when I got home yesterday, but when I went out to go to work this morning at 6:30am, it was sitting by the front door. Got down to -6 last night. Decided I wouldn't open it till I get home so it can warm up slowly. But 6 days from distributor to my door is great service......Thanks Kato and BLW.
My hobby shop called to tell me something today........... I am very pleased! It looks awesome! By the way. Until a certain loco is complete..... This little Pacific has to pull the weight! I sure hope that loco gets done at the shop soon.... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Went to the local hobby shop & Dollar Tree today. Feel lucky with what I got at the local hobby shop, N Scale Model Power Grandma's House and a Micro Trains TOFC flat car with an undecorated trailer for $20.00 for both including tax, and than 2 pieces of white foam core & a plastic tool box $1.00 each Dollar Tree! Been looking at this plastic kits for months and made him an offer he could not refuse, I guess! Actually they are really good about negotiating if you ask them, worst they can say is no I don't know anything about this flat car but wanted another trailer and another piece of rolling stock with micro trains couplers! Anybody know if I got a good deal? Thanks!
Mine is in the mail and should be waiting for me when I get home today. Can't wait. It looks amazing. I may try to hook it up to streamline hiawatha until named loco is ready and arrives. Or actually I think I have another MR diesel somewhere to run it with.
MY latest purchase now is the this issue of mr and 2of these from ATLAS. Tom

1-2-3 blocks are usually used in the tool and die ,mold making , and machinist trade for setting up and laying out dies and other components they are precisely ground to 1 inch X 2 inch X 3 inch to within a tenth of a thousandth of an inch . The holes are meant for lightening the blocks as solid blocks are heavier . The tapped holes make the blocks more versatile ,because tools from over seas are so much cheaper they are becoming more popular with model makers
Just bought my second Atlas Shay. First one rid so well I figured I'd get a second one for my logging railroad.
I better get my second before you get them all, lol I ordered a Code 40 #6 kit and built frog for reference from Proto:87 along with a few other tools.
I finally ran my kato hiawatha set last night. For now I used an BLI F6A to pull it. Its an amazing looking set. I know its not cheap but seriously this should be on everyone who likes passenger sets list. It's awesome and my new favorite.
Hardcoaler, I don't know their designed purpose but I am using them as a way to square up the walls on my kits for gluing. Some of the holes are threaded so you can clamp whatever. For $13 I thought they were a handy thing to have. The blocks are as they are called 1" X 2" X 3" metal. This afternoon I bought these for my buildings, as DPM kits don't have decals: They are all Blair Line Signs for those who didn't know.
