And here are some TS locos. http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/misc-t/ts744rsa.jpg http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/misc-t/ts745dsa.jpg When the RS1s were first acquired, they came from a Union Pacific subsidiary in UP's Armour Yellow: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/misc-t/ts746dsb.jpg Hope this helps!
Grass and trees, and some people too. My 27 year old grandson, an aerospace mechanical engineer, visited last weekend. His comment..."Wow, such neat detail". Sorta makes an 80 year old G'Pa glow all over....
IIRC... the Perlman green was started I'm the late 1960' or early 1970'. I'm partial to the silver/orange /black scheme of the1950'... ;-) Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
His early love of trains went into hibernation when he became a teenager. I believe it will reemerged when the time is right, as it has with many of us.
Just won, and just paid for: Set #119. Estimated to arrive by my B-Day, Mon Oct 19. The perfect present, from me, to myself!! Saw it when released, couldn't afford back then! Got extra lucky this time!
gLast purchase are pre-orders. Bachmann's K4 and Arnold's C&NW SW1. Still waiting on more pre-orders. With swaps coming up will be more.
9 new release Bluford ribbed open hoppers. 6 WM, 2 CR and a EL car. WM cars will handle coal to power plants and the other three will be in coke service to the steel mill.
HELLO, all !!! It's been a while !!! Newest gem is an Atlas EJ&E caboose #529. I've been waiting for these !!! I will get the other road number next week at LHS. For those who may remember me, I still have my SD38-2 conversions for Kato SD40-2s, and I have my Baldwin center-cabs (and the proper chassis). I also have very strong hopes for a meaningful job !!! If I get the job, I can finish my projects and show you some orange from Joliet !!! Please cross your fingers, toes, eyes, and whatever else you have. THANK YOU !!!
Boxcab, no matter how bad things seem sometimes, I can ALWAYS laugh at that dancing banana !!! Ha,ha,ha !!!
I missed out on 2 previous opportunities to buy one of the BLI E8s that came out a while ago in Missouri Pacific colors. To my surprise when I saw one of the more popular online dealers had one for sale I wasnt goung pass it up again. Spent more on this loco than I've ever spent before for a single unit so hope it runs and sounds as good as Im expecting.
What surprises me, was that NO ONE else had placed a bid!! Especially at the price it was listed for! Found several other sets, listing at up to $249.95 a set. Paid less than $175, WITH shipping for mine! Wanted one when originally released, but could never afford to get one. Got it now!
Saved up to add UP motive power. Kato F3 ABB for freight (one B unit has a steam generator for passenger service), and a Broadway Limited P1 AB set to pull my UP passenger set.
Purchased and received an Arnold SW-1 in Penn Central. To be repainted into SP tiger stripe # 1004. Thanks, Wolf
Hmmmm.... I guess you couldn't wait for Arnold to do the Espee units. Your recently reworked GE 70 tonner will soon have another friendly switcher to play with. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
