I agree with DeaconKC- ebay will usually protect a purchase (i do not recall what the threshold is for $$).
Picked up this Atlas S4 with ESU LokSound at the Altoona N Scale Weekend. This is a good looking, sounding and running locomotive. I'm very impressed and gave Paul at the Atlas booth, my positive feedback on all these new locomotive models with the ESU LokSound decoders. I don't want to sound like an Atlas fanboy, but how can't you be with these new releases that have a redesigned frame and pickups. No more bronze wipers, it looks to me like the trucks are wired to the decoder now.
My first figurine purchase - Preiser US Railway Workers 79200 and 79027 Hikers Travelers. These are well done and would hate to be the one to paint em.
I'm not sure if it is Preiser but I think it is, they are actually 3D printed in color so no painting. If not Presier then some other company is doing it.
Hmmm, I should write clearer. I'm not doubting what you posted are Preiser people. It says that right on the box. What I wasn't sure about was if it was Preiser who does the 3D printing in color.
6 locking 2 door cabinets to hold all the trains instead of Banker Boxes stacked up seemingly everywhere.....
It can be my reading too. Sorta confused because never seen a multiicolor 3D print, thought all 3D printing is in 1 color.
My bad! It's Noch who is starting to print in 3D color. https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=57748.0
Check here for example. There are M/C FDM printers. We bought large 8 color machines back in 2014 for my students. They could print different materials also. Resin printing- well, not yet. Because the bath is one color, changing would be very difficult, not impossible. My students developed a method to interrupt a resin print, install electronic parts, and restart the printing. It took a bit to get the required precision, but they did it. https://www.3dsourced.com/3d-printers/color-3d-printer-full-multi-color/
Have the exact same tool set. Use it all the time. Don't know when or where I got it, had it for years and can't live without it NO brand name on mine.
So I emailed ScaleTrains about the tunnel motors. Here is the reply for what it's worth: "We are hopeful once these arrive and are ready to bill, all your orders will combine to be able to only process once payment. These are estimated the last week of Sept or early the first week of October."
I visited my local train store this afternoon to return the 2 89’ flat cars that I bought a couple of weeks ago. The long flat cars would go around my curves but they derailed whatever they were coupled to. To replace them I found these 3 60’ cars. The 2 TTX cars will have truck frame loads added while the bulk head flat will get a pipe load. I got this piece of strip wood so I can make the pipe load. The BLI FEC ES44s just arrived at the store and the owner had set these 2 aside for me. I took them for a test drive when I got home and they run and sound great. These are different cab numbers than the 2 Kato ES44s I have. In the next day so I’ll do a comparison of the BLI and Kato units. We stopped for dinner and then at a shopping center on the way home. I went to Michael’s and bought this lichen (I think it’s labeled as Reindeer Moss) to make trees. A friend made trees using lichen and round toothpicks for his T-Trak modules. I think they look great and want to try making my own. This photo shows the trees on 1 of his modules. That’s it for now.
