Neat gondola, Richard, and the pipe load looks great. I’m looking forward to making some of them for my gondolas. I looked in the coffee aisle a few times with no luck. We were in Walmart a few days ago and we were in the paper goods section and I thought, maybe here? Sure enough, that’s where I found them. I’m guessing 250 is way more than I will be able to use.
Paul (Pfunk) recommended contemporary cars from May-T available on Amazon so I bought a pack of 40 cars with road material. I like the cars a lot. The road material is OK, not the same quality as the roads made by Busch, but for the price I can’t complain. The cars are definitely worth the price, the road material is a freebie IMHO. Thanks for the recommendation, Paul. I also got a package of half straights that I need for an upcoming T-Trak module. I think I’m done buying for a while, unless…
I got the exact same cars and road a few years back. I especially like the Gold color cars I let my nieces play with the road at that time. have no idea where it is now or if I still have it. But worth every cheap penny I paid for them. They fill an area cheaply that's for sure.
Country Joe, Those are are some really nice cars. They kind of remind me of the Rock Island brand ones that I purchased. If I didn't have enough already I would be checking into those. Ralph
Thanks Ralph. I looked online and the Rock Island Hobby cars look like the ones I just got. They may not be exactly the same but they are very close. I have 140 autos that I’ll be using on my layout and T-Trak modules. It should be enough.
a big (BIIIIIG) 1:130 diecast Japan Airlines Boeing 787 for my airport that I plan to build sometime before I die but not anytime soon
Picked a pak up today and just where you said. Now I will be making loads, and a water renewal scene in town. Thanks again!
These little pcs really come in handy, I have so many small sections (custom cut as well) that I have a hard time keeping TRACK of them!
These are obviously not N Scale but are for my N scale modelling projects. I got them from Arizona Hobbies The postage to Australia was US$65 for the 2, considering it was a 9 pound package that's about as good as it gets today.
Ordered 10 TCS K1D4 decoders for some C44-9's and others that still use the soldered decoder boards. Also 4 TCS K0D8-G for the 4 Kato E7 locomotives on hand.
Picked up a set of smooth side Rio Grande passenger cars at Rocky Mountain in Arvada, CO today. The guys were really helpful.
Bought two Kato P42's for my Amtrak Superliner Train. One has DCC and the other will also once it arrives. Got a decent price on both from two venders on Ebay. Beautiful paint scheme on both.
Regarding those coffee stirrers, aka pipe loads, what glue, if any, did you use to assemble the loads. I used some similar drink stirrers but could not get any plastic glue to adhere to them.
I haven’t made a load yet but I’m going to use Aileen’s Quick Grab Tacky Glue. It should work. mtntrainman and BNSF FAN have both made these loads and should have good advice.
I bought a cheap $8.00 craft hot glue gun at Walmart. It has a smaller nozzle so it doesn't make a big mess. It holds the plastic pipes and the wooden 'stickers' together better then any glue.
