Yes! In fact, I was fairly convinced my package of decoders and DCC supplies was forever lost, as tracking showed it sitting in the Birmingham, AL, distribution center from 11/27 to late last night (12/4). To my surprise, this AM it says it's out for delivery. So, it apparently missed a scan when it left Birmingham. Still, it took 10 days since USPS rec'd the package to make it to CA. Understandable given our current situation with the virus and the holidays, but I was beginning to think my package fell behind something or got destroyed or something. I did find a discussion forum last night where someone there claimed (and seemed) to be someone within the USPS system, who said all the distribution centers are absolutely slammed right now like he/she said he's never seen in over 45 years with the PO. He/she said all the work areas at their distribution center are filled with packages and the place is essentially gridlocked.
Well I got tired of having to solder the led light strips in THEERV. whne its below freezing out there the strips shrink and become unsoldered every 3 feet !! . They are a pita to solder to those small pads...leaning over the layout... My son was here and redid the soldering. He also ordered me an early xmas present.. https://www.amazon.com/4FT-LED-Shop-Lights-Fluorescent/dp/B07MQLG364?ref_=ast_sto_dp It is a six pack of 4 ft led tube lighting !! I plugged one in out there and it looks like they are gonna work just fne. I will space them about 2 feet apart where the led strip ligting is now...
This would sum it up then! Three of my eBay packages from three different sellers and three different parts of the USA are MIA. Because one is stuck in Washington the other in New York and the last one in Missouri.
Thanks Joe I am in contact with the two sellers who sold their locomotives to me. They are checking up on their side at the post office. Trying to figure out where are these packages. As @tehachapifan stated the USPS is slammed as they haven’t seen anything like this in over 45 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My NYC Twentieth Century Limited was delayed twice while AT THE POST OFFICE. I currently have another package which was supposed to be delivered today from a different etailer... no word when it will be delivered... though I suspect it will be Monday. This has been a challenging time for the Postal Service. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
Have the NYC 20th Century set, 4 car add on set, E7A set, 2 E8 decoders, Fin N Scale crated machinery and steel coils.
So I ordered some (3) new modules from Masterpiece last month. Closer to the beginning of the month than the end and I just got notice this morning that they finally shipped!! Now lets see how long it takes to get here, Ex Fed guys say Friday. I guess the delay of my order was some track pieces were on back order. 2 of my modules come with custom precut track pieces.
Here's what came in the mail over the last two days.Three different Digitrax decoders for some of my other locomotives. An Atlas Missouri Pacific MP-15DC decoder equipped and a MoPac Life Like GP38-2 I have it apart because it is waiting for the decoder that should arrive by tomorrow.
The other big vendor of T-Trak modules is CMR Products. https://www.cmrproducts.com/t-trak/ There was a third but the owner past away recently and nobody took over.
And I’m working on developing and selling them too... but it’s out of my budget at the moment, to get started. Hopefully when my wife gets back to work I can get the funds for the first order of laser cut modules. Right now I have to rely on a cutting service, but maybe someday I will cut my own.
Cool... its a 'docksider'... also known as a 'boat goat'. These were often used to push rolling stock onto barges or ferries. Sent from my SM-J737T using Tapatalk
went to the mailbox this morning and found these had arrived. 4 Kato / Atlas like motors from china and they actually run (they were very cheap)
They finally arrived!! This is my first time getting modules with track pieces included and the custom length pieces were actually made by Kato. I figured they would have been hand modified but these are just slightly shorter Kato tracks. well more sanding, gluing, staining, and decorating is in my future.
Either my wife or Santa got me a NOS 12 pack of IM Southern Pacific 40’ boxcars on eBay for $100. Those arrived on time. But the USPS got my Tomix insulated joiners to the EP distribution center last week... and decided to then forward them to Ft worth center for the weekend instead of delivering them... where they could then be sent right back to the EP distribution center again, thus preventing me from finalizing the trolley track install this weekend as I had planned.
