I picked up a few things -- A couple of projects -- re purposing the Tichy repair cars. (They are going to be storage sheds) The cattle pens will be combined with the one I already have. I am going to ditch the hay sheds and move around the cattle loading/unloading shoots - to line up with the doors of my cattle cars. And - some FT's to add to my Warbonnet fleet. Hopefully Atlas will produce the Erie builts again - soon. Thanks, Wolf
The postal person/ mailwoman brought me something very useful today, and took away my excuse to put off working on helping with a layout design project: a new copy of John Armstrong’s “Track Planning for Realistic Operation.” This will be my FOURTH copy in 50 years. The first three have been either lost, worn completely out, or loaned out and not returned.
Yet another Kato Mikado! That brings the number to 3. This one may become a NYC H7, or I may make another Erie loco out of it. Not till my 2 current projects are completed though!

Welcome aboard Ken. I did the same thing when I started THERR RV in 2012. Jumped in the deep end feet first. I had bought so much 'stuff' it was fun figuring where to start LOL. Sounds like you have a plan. Have fun with it
I finally picked up an Atlas Shay. I thought I was out of Luck on getting one painted for Pickering, but found a retailer that still had one. These run rather well. Matt
Got this baby in the mail Saturday. An Athearn Great Northern Big Sky Blue F45 (BN patch). My first diesel loco with sound!
Got some motive power this week. With the uncertainty of future releases from China... I went for early Xmas buying... I got some Athearn F45' (Santa Fe billboard scheme). Some Atlas VO-1000 (SP and Rock). These might be from Korean factories.
2 K1D4 decoders for my freight engines, pegboard masonite panels as lightweight benchwork shelving, WiThrottle on the apple app store, a roast chicken and apples with pesto sandwich (was really good!)
Kato N 1766030 GE P42 Genesis, Amtrak (Phase V Late) #47 Micro-Trains N 98600572 SW1500 Diesel Switcher Locomotive, Union Pacific #1174 plus decoders for both Need to slow down, bit to impulsive with the purchasing lately. Fortunately those 2 are the last needed to run my prototypes bare minimum typical traffic. UP Coastal Subdivision and the Santa Maria Valley Railway. Would really like to get a GP7u with low hood, or modify a GP7 into a low hood, that would be the SMVR primary mover. They use the SW1500 as well so that will do for now as my road switcher and local lines industries switcher I guess.
I see that both my purshases from Athearn and Atlas are 'made in China'... perhaps a different factory... but now with tarrif wars looming I wonder about price hikes. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
