SP/SSW What was the last new locomotive delivered to the SP?

Thanks all! SP AC4400CW 378 was the answer I was looking for!
Now does anyone know if 378 was repainted and/or renumbered for UP service?

Slighty off topic - didn't the SP order 3 AC6000CWs, but they were delivered after the merger in UP paint?

 

Yes, SP did order three AC6000's, however they where never delivered to the SP.

As for SP 378, she's still in active service as UP 6420. Patched on July 16th, 2004.

 

I hope when the go to retire her, one of the historic groups will put their hands up the own her

 

xxxx lists the AC6000 order as cancelled, not delivered to UP...
Union Pacific Motive Power Chronology, Part 3 which is consistent with this. UP received 10 true AC6000s and 35 4400-hp versions in 1996, none of which were the SP order.
