I am trying to learn more about SP&S signals, and I thought I would do that by checking out what NP and GN used. After phasing out semaphores or whatever they used before, what type of signals did the GN adopt? If there are differences between territories, I am most interested in whatever was in use in Oregon and Washington. Thanks in advance! :tb-biggrin: Adam
I know that GN had a good amount of CTC. Earlier than some other operations. I've never looked closely at what manufacturer... This might require browsing through a few photos, just for fun. Boxcab E50
Alot of the older pics show tri-color lights for signal heads in parts of eastern Montana, all the way back east to St. Paul. But out west, alot was the standard "target style" signals.
