hello train enthusiasts. i am a university student in canada that is studying 3d modelling and animation. for my final project i was hoping to recreate a scene from a photograph. i wanted to know if anyone knew what kind of train this is: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Train_wreck_at_Montparnasse_1895.jpg if it helps its from a train crash in Montparnasse, France in 1895. if you know what kind of train it is, can you please help me find other pictures of that type of train (from different angles) and maybe (but unlikely) blueprints of said train? thanks guys, keep rollin on the rails:tb-nerd:

As to your request, there have been some topics posted to the TB over the past few years that address train wrecks in general and this one in particular. I hope that some of our members can help you with details. In the meantime, you could try the TB search engine, using descriptors such as Gare Montparnasse, locomotive street crash, or various imaginative idioms. Good Luck....!
Wreck Notes - NE Rails identifies it as a Class 120. From what I know of French classifications, this means it was the first class of 2-4-0 on the Ouest.
