    I'm not for sure but that doesn't look like any ordinary panel van..... it looks like a Krispy Kreme delivery panel van! :D

    Many old memories. Even though I didn't start driving was '58 on uncles farm. Then in '60 dad and uncle let me drive on the roads. At 13 ('63) I got my farm drivers license and with a lot of limits I could even drive in the little city. Mother and the cops didn't like that. At 16 ('66) I bought my first car. A '55 Ford. The gas station had not change much from the last pictures.

    Old gas pumps on a ranch in near Marfa, Texas in 1939. Given how long it takes things to deteriorate out there, I wouldn't be surprised if these are still standing. Russell Lee Photo.

    The Refiners Oil Company was based in Dayton, OH and in 1930 was purchased by Standard Oil Company of Ohio.
