The design is based on Nu-Line Structures tip-up warehouse but at a slightly lower price of (so far) $1.00.

Will post more pics as progress progresses. :D

Nuther pic, showing some progress. The base you see is the same plastic the building is made from. When done the base will measure 40" long by about 12" deep (at least that is the plan. :D By the way I now have $2.00 invested in this project.

What I should be doing is finishing up a set of Alan's wellcars that he assembled and custom painted and decaled for me (except for the GVR logo and road number).

    Catt:
Did you draw plans? If so, I'd love to see them. Also, you didn't tell us what material it's made of. You said plastic, but styrene? what size? What do you plan for doors. Looks every interesting, and cheap...I like cheap.

Mr. Edwards, you have done just what I intend to do [IMG] The Nu-Line structure is such a simple design, it is a perfect target for scratchbuilding. ;)

I may copy Robin and use cardboard (I have been saving breakfast cereal packs)

No plans guys, just picked an arbitrary width for the wall panels.(24' in this case) and sc ribed the lines heavy enough that they show real clear. Chose the height to match the Nu-Line structure (40') and made the freight doors 9' wide by 10' tall.

I reccomend that if anybody does this they use at least .060" styrene (if this is your material of choice).

The black base you see in the last photo ios my material of choice and what you see cost me $1.00 a piece .It measures 15.25"wide by 40.25"long.and is .060" thick. The only problem is the black colour(makes it hard to see your lines sometimes..

At Art and some School supply stores, they have color pencils with silver, gold, and white leads. If you keep the point sharpened, or sand a chisel edge, you can mark the dark color styrene to layout windows and places to scribe or cut. The lead wipes off, and you can always mark the plastic on the rear side. (One side is glossy and the other is a little matte finish. The matte side works best.)

We use Crayola brand, but there are others that are a wax base that mark better. Removing the marks from those are like removing grease pencil marks, they are NOT the paint pencils nor the felt tips though.
