I went to Caboose hobbies in Denver and they have Monkey's. Well, escapee monkey's running around town causing trouble your supposed to locate them all. (( it is fun)) What items if you would like to share maybe even with a photo do you have in your layout? Maybe a Peepin Tom? A Bank robbery? A purple monkey? Joe
None yet but I sorta have planned: A dino or two Some suggestive scenery when viewed at the right angle Perhaps an alien Flying pigs Various punny things
Ha! That is awesome! I am not sure what I will do when I get my layout up and running. I am doing a logging camp as one of my industries. May be a guy stuck up in a tree, or a bear chasing the workers... Speaking of secret items, if anyone can get to The Choo-Choo Barn in Strasburg, PA, you will see so many different little things. I took my wife there a couple weeks ago for the first time in her life. We went around the layout three times. It took us an hour and a half to take everything in. And I am sure there are things that we missed. It is an experience. She wants to go back again this weekend! :yes9rq:
Grey One, Great idea! How about The Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot? Uh oh. My mind is really thinking now. I love it!
I like the Gators and the flying pigs! I imagine the gators in my layout terrorizing the fishermen.
These are not on mine yet, because my current layout has been shelved until I get moved into my new place. But.. these are two that I am going to put in mine. Mine is the town of Sauk. It is an old Sauk Indian settlement somewhere in the midwest USA. It is now mid 1950s, and the town was taken over by the white man, killing out most of the indian village back in the late 1800s. The white man settled the village to mine for coal. It is now an old dirty, charming coal mining town. 1) In a back alley behind a row of the town early 1900s commercial buildings, there will be a police car with a couple officers standing around. Also an ambulance. There will be a half covered body with a chaulk line around it. A murder scene? 2) A siding, with a row of USAF box cars and a flat car. Military police have the area roped off and gaurded. A couple civilian cars are around but are in the process of being made to leave the area of what seems to be a crash recovery of an Korean war era F-86? There is a USAF flat car on the siding with the fusalage of the F-86 covered up. Wait.... that's not an F-86 Fusalage. That looks saucer shaped!!!:tb-shocked: If anyone has the guts to lift the tarp of the USAF flat car load, they may have to be killed. It isn't an F-86 crash recovery at all.... What DID that old farmer find on his property?
Lots of things. Teenagers stealing a kiss in a barn. A murder scene on the dockyards. A chain-gang. Superman. A radiation accident. An airplane accident. Hobos huddling around a fire. Hobos in boxcars. My large cat begging food. Lots of others. They are all in my pictures of my layout. It takes an eagle eye to spot most of them, but they are there. Why should I point them out?
It's a secret and if I tell you it won't be a secret anymore. Do check out the windows and interior at the local hotel...you never know what you might find. Grin!
I,m getting ready to build the town. so it's a work in progress. it's a white cat. I think pricer makes it. sorry it's not in focus but you can get the general idea. I have seen the monkeys in the caboose hobby shop. Would be nice if we could get picture of that one on the forum.
*points up* I love it! I have a cat too. My darn cat love too she eats my trees from my layout when I accidently leave the top open. "coffee table style" I call her Godzilla cause all the town people just freakout and Freeze!
If I can remember to take the camera with me the next time I'm picking up an order I will try to catch a few shots. It is a great challenge to find all of them running around the layout terrorizing the town. :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin:
In the upper left hand corner of this picture, is there a reason the person is like that? Oh wait, he was playing in there when he dug up the "kitty's" present! That is classic!
