Please examine for a moment or two. I am sure there is at least one thing. Answers will be accepted until tomorrow at 7:00 PM, New York time.
I really don't know ??? It's messy and under construction. I can tell you model the Pennsy Were there any tunnels on the actual Pennsy? (wild guest)
Well, let's see: 1 - ore jennies behind a passenger unit? 2 - the truck on the left side has expired tags? 3 - the engineer in the F isn't certified for the district? 4 - no spout on the water tower? 5 - the bridge at upper left is obviously in Penn Central colors? 6 - I made up half my answers?
The omnipresent white glue tower is 3/4 full, instead of 3/4 empty? There's a Kato PA/PB consist pulling six 70-ton ore jennies plus a caboose? I dunno . . .
If the Black steam train isn't on a siding there could be a smash ?? The Via Duct has no water under it ? There is Two Trains that are the same ?? There is a Blue Towery looking thingy ?? The layout is too big and the room too small?
That we havn't been invited over so there is nobody seen in the room. Plus the lack of D&H being seen.
I know, teacher, IknowIknowIknow . . . There's no soldering iron in the picture. No pliers. No screwdrivers. No hammers. No tools! Obviously, nothing is being done on this layout! That's what's wrong.
The Gulf Summit and Susy-Q layout from Atlas is a very complex and attractive layout. This track plan has a great deal of track and elevations in terrain to make it interesting. However this photo seems to indicated to me the reason that I don't model layouts from Atlas' track plans. It's not that they are bad... but its whats left out due to the amount of track and necessary area used to elevate the track. Essentially there are a lot of trains going around a complex track plan with nowhere to go. There are no mines for the ore train to serve. The PA's don't need to pull varnish trains since there are no passenger station anyway. Other trains with long strings of reefers or boxcars with no industry to drop them off at. No industry... no cities... uhhhh what are these trains doing... just going round and round.
