Anyone know what this is? I just made it from styrene. It's a boxcar loading ramp for pickup trucks so the truck can load directly from the pickup truck bed to the boxcar floor. I saw this on a model on my club H0 scale layout. I thought is was a simple, practical solution to loading items from a pickup truck. I never have seen a real one. Maybe this is just a modeler's imagination but still seems like a good idea. Anyone ever seen a prototype?
Didn't someone once say 'there's a prototype for almost everything?' I would believe there might not be a lot of call for such a device, as LCL type loading these days is uncommon. But it could exist out there. Boxcab E50
