I have success! I don't have the headlight wired up yet I have to order an led. I have not put it back together yet, but I have it wired, it works and I put the dcc decoder in the boiler along with the ka. I only have 2 wires running to the tender for the speaker. These will have a plug on it so the tender can be disconnected and the loco will still run just won't have sound. Thx for the help!
There should be room in the tender for a nice big speaker, maybe two! Does your tender supply any power pickup to the loco through the drawbar? Bill in FtL
I don't think it does but I have not looked closely at that aspect of it so I may have missed it. I did fit 2 1.25" speakers in there. they fit really well. I thought about adding another but I had to turn down the volume because it was too loud. I used a 3d printer to make the speaker box.
