Well, I was able to modify some Grandt Line eave brackets. I started with the style shown on the sprue at the bottom, removed a lot of one end and glued on styrene pieces. I shaped the curves with my moto-tool. Some of the legs had to be a lot beefier and the original bracket provided a nice sturdy base to glue things on that kept things uniform. Now it is time to paint all 30 of these guys. They are stuck to a strip of masking tape attached to a piece of wood sticky side up. Easy to air brush that way.
I modified Grandt Line chimneys by sheathing them with Plastruct brick sheet to get the same colors as the rest of the building and to add a little bulk. I added the concrete arched caps that I made from Plasturct tubing.
I hope someone is more than delighted to have this on their layout! Too bad you can't enter it in a proto modelers meet contest, before delivering.
