I've come to the conclusion that the inside-forum search function is now worthless. I can't even find my own threads when I know the title and author!

Using the advanced search - and knowing that dave n started it and the title is "the story of M&ET 608" all I get back from a title search on "M&ET 608" and "dave n" is 'no matches'. I can search the title using google and find it instantly:

Not sure what the deal is, if its counter-intuitive in some way, but finding older threads has certainly become difficult.

That's interesting, I just entered "saucier" in the simple (not Advanced) entry and received 43 hits, all of which correctly included a post or photo of my Saucier Central.

There may be a setting within your computer that is conflicting with the TB search engine. I found that when I upgraded to Windows 7, there were many more options and settings that had to be selected before programs that had worked correctly under Windows XP would again work under Win7. Unfortunately, as operating systems and programs become more sophisticated, they also become more complex and confusing to install and set up.

I'm not sure how you are searching. I use the feature and have not had any problem with it. If you can provide details we are interested in hearing more about it.

I just entered the word "story" and it came right up.
