I ordered from Atlas the handrail set for my China mfg EMD SD-60M. They seem correct in every way except the side rails are about 1/2 inch too long for the locomotive. Are these railings glued in place and if so, what is the best glue to use for this. I have four dimples on the cab and notches along the walkway, but that's it for receptacles as I see nothing on the ends to accept railing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Jim

Everything should just be a press fit into all the mounting holes, except you mentioned the handrails being a half inch too long. Can't help but think that you don't have the correct handrails, if that's the case. Also, there's normally 4 mounting holes on the top of the sill/anticlimber at each end of the loco for the end handrail stanchions.

I agree. I think you received the wrong handrail set. They should e correct in every way, including length.

You really can't glue handrail material as they are flexible thermal plastic. Glue won't stick. That's why, as mentioned above, they just press fit into the holes on the shell.
