Well, I just finished laying the track for my main yard today. All the track is down, except for 1 in the diesel service area (waiting for the sand tower for correct track spacing).
I have pictures of the yard here
    "webshots"

I'm actually quite happy with the result. Next step is to wire all tracks and install switchmachines. (I'm not really looking forward to that part) !!.

    Jesper,

You might want to do a repost of this in "High Balling your layout," I think you might get more of a response to it. I have quickly looked at it, but will look at it more in depth latter today. - going to the Lyden, Washington train show.

Excellent. Your plan shows a nice long switching lead. I can't see it in the photos but I'm sure it's there.

It's there, unfortunately, in real life it's a bit shorter than on the trackplan. See on the trackplan I use atlas #4 turnouts because the new #5 isn't there yet, so on the trackplanethe yard lead is 80", but in real life it's only 65", so it's shorter than even the storage tracks, but I had to do it like that to keep the curves as wide as possible. And 65" should hold 17 50' cars.

And Rick, I think you are right, I should repost it in the "high balling" thread.

    Thanks
    Jesper
