Howdy Boys! [IMG]

MERRY CHRISTMAS! [IMG]

Pardon me, but could I trouble you?

Is it just me, or have the manufacturer's
just disappeared?

I mean, what happened to ACCURAIL? Their web hasn't been updated like usual lately.

BACHMANN SPECTRUM-Did the boat get lost from China?

Walthers? Athearn?

Have they all gone Rip-Van-Winkle?

I know that it takes time to produce the items we all want, but what happened to PR? [IMG]

I guess this is what happens when y'all get spoiled! [IMG]

Oh, well!

God Bless!

I have been wondering this also, normally this time of year see's a lot of new stuff being produced (mailny fot the christmas market) but this year it all seems rather dead, or maybe as there have been such a large amount of new products lately they want to make some money back b4 spending even more, and maybe because of the large amount done recently it just seems like a long time... what ever their reasons im glad in a way, Christmas my tax and accountant bills wiped me out [IMG]

3. I can't speak to the others, but Athearn has an e-mail newsletter that they send out listing what they have coming and new in stock.

Bachmann traditionally announces too many products at a time, then takes forever to get them out. Last time this happened was about six or seven years ago; among the new HO items announced was a Spectrum 2-8-0...with a retail price of $89.99. 3-4 years later, we get a fantastic locomotive, but with a retail price $40 higher. Same thing happened with their Shay, and now the 2-10-0 Russian. I wouldn't expect things to change anytime soon.

Athearn is starting to send product down the line. I just got the F59PHI in Amtrak West scheme in my store last week. Looks nice! Of course, my children recognized it immediately, since one of the prototypes pulled the Starlight train we rode on last summer [IMG]

Can't speak for the other manufacturers; I'm kinda far away from the grapevine...
