What exactly is S-Scale?

    I thought I’d bring this thread back to the top. Texasdon may find it interesting. Of course he has taken the plunge. Another thought that crossed my mind was the talk about the narrow gauge. The idea of HO for Sn3 was probably mistaken for the Sn42. HO gauged track is perfect for 42” gauge track in S. Who has 42” gauge track you ask? Try CN’s Newfoundland railroad. Also New Zealand and Tasmania have that gauge. Both of those railroads are very interesting. Also, for a nice looking 42” track in S, one could use the Micro Engineering On30 track. Small ties and good spacing and bigger than HO ties. Peco’s On30 track could look pretty good too.
