Here's something funny... I took my mother railfanning with me this afternoon to Shenandoah, VA, to check out the small NS yard and trains there. She went into a little gift store, and I went up 1st Street to check out any train action. But there was none--except for a couple of SD70s idling along with some Conrail D8-something or others. So, I went past the old station which is now the Yard Office (with the requisite "No Trespassing" Sign) over to where a bunch a grain cars and other cars were. A great veiw is had from the side of 1st Street fronting the yard. Anyways, my mom finally came along but she couldn't see me way down the street at the other end of the yard. Well, she just walks past the "No Trespassing" sign and goes into the old station (the current Yard Office) and asks if anyone had seen her son (me). They workers there said, "No", and asked her if I was "PMI". My mom said that she didn't think so and told them that I was walking around in a pair of old sweat pants. Well, they looked puzzled at her and she left. I finally came across her standing above the station on 1st St. and she related what had happened. SO, WHAT WOULD "PMI" STAND FOR? Does anybody know? Thanks

What do PTI crew van drivers do?

Thank you, Robbman! That's pretty funny that they thought that I might be one of the crew van drivers!! [Are the "crew van drivers" the ones that drive the loco crews to their hotels and stuff?]
