After very slow progress for the last few years, I'm finally making some headway on the layout. I managed to get a sky backdrop installed and painted in the last month. I used full 4-foot width sheets of 1/8" tempered hardboard because the benchwork is quite low. Next I applied two coats of Kilz II latex primer. The sky blue is Behr Costa Rica Blue with Tropical Pool near the horizon. This looks good under the 5000K fluorescent lights.
Next I added clouds following Mike Danneman's methods. They're not as good as Mike's, but I think they turned out pretty decent.
Looks awesome! I could not pull off the blended blues for the lighter horizon; yours is very realistic. Jamie
