I was in the Florida over the weekend for unfavorable reasons. While I was moping around, my wife found a hobby shop and literally had to drag me over there to cheer me up. Well I ended up buying the Atlas DCC Duo pack. Cost was 119.00 I won't hook it up for awhile, but I'll let ya all know how it works when I do.
That's great Moose, and welcome back. I am still in the "convince the wife" stage of DCC, and I don't see anything happening until mid-summer at the earliest!! (that's ok, layout building has slowed and it will take me at least that long to get the track put down). Good luck with your new system and keep us posted! Happy Modeling!! Good luck Moose it will be great to hear how you go once you do start to install the DCC. re you going to start retrofitting your existing locos to DCC before you actually install the main system? Jut out of interest how many locos do you have to fit out? ------------------ Regards Paul #1-Moderator & Member number 50 SPAD Investigator #1 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000

Hi Moose. I hope you did not read my orrigional post, which Charlie has deleated for me, and think poorly of me. I had mail from Charlie and Gary today and thank them for pointing out my fopah. I am truely sorry to hear of your fathers passing. And its great to see how the members of this board really feal about each other. Its great to see another person take the plunge into DCC. I think its going to be THE system to use before too long.If there is anything I can do to help with the DCC instalation please let me know. ....Mike
Hi Mike, Don't worry about. I sent ya an email. And your right, the members of trainboard are the best!
Welcome home Moose. We were all there in spirit. Best get started thinking about the layout and getting converted to DCC. If you ever need a buddy, e-mail me off line, I'm here. Wayne. ------------------ Watash #982
Now when Atlas comes out with their hand held throttles...you'll need a couple of those...lol. Welcome to DCC, a new facet of the hobby which will keep you poor. And start thinking about decoding those engines of yours, as an old sales saying goes: "inch by inch is a cinch, yard by yard is very very hard." So decode one at a time at a constant pace and you will have most of them done by the years end. Sorry to hear about your loss.
