I painted my roadbed Gray yesterday and this morning I discovered that I don’t know what I painted it.

My wife is laughing so hard that she can’t even talk. Well I guess I got to run out and buy more paint except I have to bring her along to pick the color. Maybe I also need to bring my ballast along to match it up.

I had that in my hand yesterday at the store, but then I remembered how much of a pain it was to mask everything off and the overspray mess so I decided that it would be easier to use a brush.

I just got back from Wal-Mart and I bought a squeeze bottle of acrylic. They only had pewter gray so I’m going to give it a try and if it’s not right then I have quart of flat latex mixed up to the color I want.

Another thing is that I bought Woodland Scenics B73 Fine Ballast about 3 years ago for my old layout and never used it. When I pulled it out today I discovered that the color has changed. It doesn’t look anything like the color shown online and I’m not going to be able to use it except maybe for some sandy desert areas other than ballast. Now I’m wondering if this is going to be a problem in the future if the color is going to change.
