Please show me your latest and newist military loads or Trains I can't find my old listing so I am posting a new one . Hey anybody see the Dragon Cando Line of tanks , they are very Hot . M1A2, Leoperds and other item , any comments would be great
No picture yet.. But I am working on a MTL USAF flat car. I am putting an F86 load on it on it's way to final assembly at the base. Also, a planned scene is with another USAF flat car. Some military jeeps and troups around, "Restricted Area" tape. What looks like a crash recovery area. The flat car will have a tarped load, but it looks like some of the tarp has blown over where you can get a peek of the crashed plane? Wait, is that what I think it is? That looks like a UFO!!!mg:
Shoot, I don't have any pictures of military loads on my layout, but that's a darned good idea. I have this picture, and I'm sure I'm thinking about trains here... Does that count?
The Dragon CanDo line is neat, but some don't scale out too well. The M1 series tanks seem too large to me, based primarily on comparison to known N scale items like the GHQ tanks and the Alan Curtis flats. The Bradleys, Paladin howitzers and M113 vehicles seem OK, though. For my tanks, I've used a combo - tanks themselves from Lineside Models with the CITV blister on the turret roof grafted from a Dragon model to make reasonable M-1A2's.
While at Trainfest this weekend, I mentioned to my wife almost all model railroad module set ups will have something in common. There will at least be one of these if not all: Military Base, Train or Exercise Police Car that has pulled someone over Fire engines responding to a fire, usually one that is a 3 or 4 alarm fire, tons of fire trucks, and less smoke then a burning match.... I digress but you know it is true.... Love the military trains so keep them coming, CPNORTH, here is your origonal thread: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=54487 Another intereseting one http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?t=67415 Almost a year after starting to research it, my Army GP20 is almost done, will post pictures when completed.
