...to post your prototype photos. Old converted slides, new digital shots from yesterday. Blurry grab shots from the car and composed multiple exposure art, we want to see it all in this weekly thread. Western roads, eastern roads, Europe, Asia, wedge roster shots, telephoto, cell phone, black and white, sepia, We want to see what trainboard members have seen and found interesting. We don't care how "good" the shot is, only that it interested you enough to take it. This weekend's thread can be found here: http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?145397-Weekend-Proto-Fun-9-7-2012 Hope to see you and see your photos.
I know life outside of Nscale can be big and scary. Have you ever tried to put a 1:1 locomotive on a hollowcore door? It isn't pretty, but we must expand our minds.
I'll be coming back. I just can't compete with folks who have access to wide open vistas and top end cameras. I feel like a "spear carrier" on stage with a group of outstanding main protagonist. Some of the photos have been truly world class and worthy of a 2nd look.
Steve- It's all about sharing something we think is interesting, or a fun moment in time we've enjoyed. No contest here, with no silly critiques or standards. Just point, shoot and share.
Uppy uppy. I've been too distracted at work and with the baby to be timely getting these threads started, but it's here now, so lets do this thing. http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?145755-Weekend-Proto-Fun-9-21-2012
Better put on my three-point harness and crash helmet, as I am headed out of the safety of the N Scale forum... oh nooooooo!
Stepping away from my usual N scale forums. So if I can do it so can you Adam. Here's one that I took a couple years ago. I have tried submitting this to RP and it was rejected.
Ok, I got one in b&w from Effie MN , guess the road and what they are doing . Photo courtesy of OWI . Winner gets bragging rights!
I might post some of my iPod camera pictures from Union Station in D.C. so you won't feel lonely. I did get pictures of the BNSF business train (less the double level cars) behind an AEM-7.
How about another one ... freight waggons 1-1's : and of course no freight car would be complete with out the 3/4 ton motive power ( winner of the pull off was a pair of Belgains pulling a 7750 lb sled 15 feet, the record being 4 tons ) :
Only in the n scale forum (both literally and as a philosophical statement) would a thread asking for people to go post pictures in another forum result in people posting their pictures in the thread itslef. Sigh... N scalers can't live with em...pass the beer nuts.
It's that time again http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?145872-Weekend-Proto-Fun!-9-28-2012 And this time, and I know it's asking a lot, can we actually post our submissions in the Weekend Proto Fun thread?
You know, we can't spend all our time complaining about how all the manufacturers suck and hate us and ruin everything. Sometimes you just have to post a picture of the Prototype. And so we have the Weekend Proto Fun thread to do just that! http://www.trainboard.com/grapevine/showthread.php?149259-Weekend-Proto-Fun-3-01-2013
