The old railroad station at Trollveggen, Norway. It is now a bed and breakfast, but the 71 mile standard gauge Rauma rail line that it sits next to, is still in operation from Oslo to Trondheim.
A goods wagon that was used during the evacuation of Oslo when Germany invaded in WWII. It is displayed next to the station in Trollveggen. The rail line is beyond the chain link fence in the distance to the right.
I hear one near our house about every evening.

I went out for a dark new moon night to grab shots of the Milky Way. I got mostly clouds....
"Cracker Stacker Streak"
An eastbound domestic double stack train cruises downgrade over Gassman Coulee Trestle.
Taken on Thursday morning, a rare daylight shot of the northbound Silver Star at Shepard, SC on the former SAL main behind a typically battered GE P42DC. CSX trackwork has temporarily revised the Star's schedule, allowing a photograph.
That mark above the engineer's window looks like what i might expect to see, if someone dropped an item from a bridge or threw something at a passing train.
Looks like my daylight Silver Star photography will be on hold for a while. With Hurricane Dorian's approach, Amtrak has annulled its southeastern seaboard train services, including the Star, Meteor and Auto Train. In South Carolina, I-26 is being reversed to allow four lanes of traffic flow for mandated coastal evacuation. The Hardcoaler Family lives far inland, so we're likely very safe.
Past these leaving the parking lot of my club in the old NP depot in Livingston, MT.
