PROTOTYPE Weekend PROTO FUN! 8/21/2015

Back to Donner. For most people, this would be an idyllic picture of Donner Lake on a cloudy day. For me, all I see is the train snaking west on the ledge above.

 

Dang, the attachment didn't take. Alright, I'll have to fix it later.

That happens to me too at times. Oh the wonders of the electronic age!

Well, I don't know that one calls a thousand feet of granite (measured from the lake which is at 6000') with a railbed chiseled out of the side by Chinese workers a hillside. but yes. Snaking between the snowsheds.

 

A sunny day when I took this one of a grain train on "A"Street in Rainier.

 

Late afternoon around 17:00 or so

 

It won't take if the picture is too large
