Man, GREAT shots everybody! Really enjoyed all of these. With temperatures over 100 Deg., it's too darn hot to be out railfanning in the Carolinas.
I would love to get a closer shot of those old stone walls on the left. That's about the condition I am trying to model for several locations on my layout.
Thank you, Russel. That's a keeper for a reference photo. The rock wall has the tan/dark coloring, the grass between the stepped walls, and how they added additional wall to raise the height on the upper wall are all elements I appreciate seeing on one photo.
I am also surprised to see the old stone so integrated into modern concrete structures. I could imagine during construction they would have replaced the stone with concrete. The walls must have been pretty well stacked to remain.
