Sorry guys, I'm away this weekend too, but didn't think to ask someone to start the thread.

Part of the big trade. CSX got 12 SD40-2's from NS. NS got SD80macs from CSX. These are the NS engines at CSX Shops at Huntington,WV.

More units for the new 4000-series SD40-3's I assume? I heard there were a couple ex-DM&E units in the dead line as well.

Spring railfanning has begun! Looks like the desert is nice and green right now.

This string of tankcars and flats and gons for pipe were sitting on the westbound mainline just west of the wye outside Glendive. No power around for them and I didn't see any activity up the branch there. Puzzlers like this make me wish for a Trainmasterr to call! Cars on mainPIC_2115.JPG carsonmainbPIC_2113.JPG

And the lighting was just so good for this empty waiting on a crew just east of the wye, on the mainline.
