Starting early to make sure it gets done. Larry Truck Electric has supplied the short term leaser SD40-2s for this continuous welded rail train. This was on the UP tracks, I had it as being in Riverside County, but I think it's actually in Orange County. Next to a Metrolink station. I don't know what year it was taken, because the meta data is corrupted and it says I took it Jan 1 4051.
Well, there was a Rio Grande hopper behind the engines. I don't remember what reporting marks the car flats had. Could have been a metrolink train too.
This is the NS West Virginia Secondary along the Ohio River. The 8 mile section of track belongs to CSX, but CSX has no tracks that connect to it. They still do MOW on the tracks. Curtis
The Highway 24 "Green Bridge" that spans the Eagle River, the Water Street bridge and the old D&RG Tennessee Pass route in Redcliff, Colorado. I took this shot while standing on the old railroad right of way,
There was a siding that started right behind where I was standing when I took the photo. The main line crossed the river while the siding continued on the east side all the way past the mines at Gilman. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=39.5...3,-106.378469&sspn=0.006904,0.011405&t=h&z=17
Co_riff - that is right near my old home town, Addision, Ohio 45610! Spent many a summer day walking those tracks............I remember PC, Conrail, and Chessie equipment on that line - lots of coal to the Gavin and Kyger Creek plants, although I think they both only receive river coal now.
