CP RDC-4 9250 gleaming in the August sun at Exporail, 2009: IMGP5132A_CP_RDC_9250 by Mike VE2TRV posted Feb 17, 2017 at 7:42 PM Behind it and off to the left is RDC-1 9069 (converted to a work car in 1978) and on the right is one end of a VIA electric generator unit (EGU, a HEP car), formerly a CN steam generator car converted from a box car back in the '50s. Now there's one interesting pedigree!
While hiking up to the summit at Boreas Pass on the old railroad right of way, we passed this water tower. This is a photo posted on the wall at the old railroad section house where we stayed at the summit.
Have a row of Grinstein green, or BN Executive painted 70MAC's standing ready for a dead in tow haul, somewhere......sometime. They were stacked elsewhere here, but they have been clearing out the dead units and sending them elsewhere.
My bride grabbed this photo of CP southbound at Soo Tower yesterday. I'll make a railfan outta her yet!
Hey Son, there's nothing you have to do. If she loves you enough to take photos like that, don't change a thing. Bubba, you got a winner!
Likely headed out for rebuild and repaint. I believe they're having emd replace all the Siemens AC gear and upgrading so they are more like the ACes.
