HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL. We spent the day playin in the snow beneath the chains required level. Right near the dinner tracks, but as is typical, no train came by till we were leaving. Not surprising for Christmas day. Instead I will leave you with this shot. It's not much to look at, but it is interesting. An entire train of 85' flats with 4 20' containers per in 2015. Ironic, given the protests against oil trains, I believe this is a munitions train...far more dangerous, far lower profile. I took it for modeling purposes.
Kelly's Creek & Northwestern's MP-15 No. 1 at Cedar Grove, WV in April 1988. The railroad was shut down in '93 and the locomotive was sold to the Alaska Railroad.
From the anniversary tour, April 17, 2012. This was in Hearne, Texas. A model of this car is included in Kato N Scale excursion train.
