    Sorry guys, my internet wasn't working well yesterday. I finally root caused it that my cable line's amplifier was off, because it was plugged in to the circuit with my Christmas lights which had tripped the GFCI circuit.

    Anyway, not sure if I posted this before. Stack Train at Caliente

    Setting a scene for the Christmas season is this one from March 1995 at Twin Branch, WV on the former N&W Pocahontas Division. Good thing that my wife and I packed hiking boots and thick socks before our drive north! No. 6613 is an SD-60. I think she was rebuilt in 2015 and now appears as NS 7007, an SD-60E.

    One more, a bonus night shot. The light was difficult to work with, and my exposure was off. Shot in RAW and tweaked as much as I could, but it still looks weird with the odd treelines. Westbound stacks creep out of Minot past the Amtrak station across the CP diamond at dusk:
