Better Late than Never! It's 2003 and a pair of CEFX SD9043s configured to allow Canadian Operations Blast past Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. They're Hauling a Unit I think Potash, but it might be grain train. Originates in Canada and moves to the coast on UP rails.
This is the NS 698 with the 8105 coming through Point Pleasant,WV.In the pic is the Kyger Creek Power Plant and the Ohio River. The monument at the bottom of the pic is where the Silver Bridge used to be. Curtis
Eastbound "Bird" at MP 90 with a new GEVO leading the way. The "Catch of the Week" is this Kansas City Southern "Belle" unit on a westbound "Q" train at MP 86.
A few weeks back, an empty BNSF grain shuttle east on MRL, out of the tunnel at Bonita, Montana. The second unit is MRL SD40-2XR #263. Which was supposed to be en route to Livingston, dead, bad order. (Confirmed with management.) Instead it was running and pulling. Hmmm. Cable in foreground is an ex-Milwaukee Road catenary support artifact:
Originate is a bit strong, but yes, it would be from Saskatchewan, routed via Medicine Hat, Crowsnest Pass, Kingsgate, and the SI.
