Russell, no matter how many times I see that bridge, I still like seeing it, a wonderful model!

I managed to finish a couple of cars this week.

I prefer modeling multiple cars of the same paint scheme, this is the second Evergreen Freight Car that I have done. It is an Athearn PC&F Boxcar kit painted with Scalecoat II Hunter Green and Floquil Dark Lark Gray paints then lettered with Microscale Decals, car was actually owned by the SP, but since railroad owned cars did not come back has quickly as private owner cars, SP created the EFC Corp to get better car utilization, with the advent of the Staggers act in the late 70's these cars were absorbed back into the SP. Used for hauling forest products out of Oregon to the rest of the country.

This is the second of five cars I am doing for our club layout, old MDC FMC 4700 CF Covered Hopper, painted with a mixture of Floquil Conrail Blue and Big Sky Blue and lettered with Islington Station Products decals.

    Thanks for looking!

It was a beautiful day here yesterday, so I slipped in some railfanning with the drone.

Continuing with a Japanese theme this week. The other module I am taking to the week long exhibit at the end of the month is actually an Ntrak module. The Mountain division tracks are part of the AsiaNrail layout. A track that branches off from the Mountain division track passes over the the other Ntrak lines which are seen in the photo below as a JR 113 type has just crossed and is approaching the station.

I call this module the Hot Springs Junction. It represents a mountain hot springs area in the 1970's. After arriving at the station, the passengers are getting off and will take taxis to the various hot spring resorts in the area.

Nice scene! And I love the older Mobilgas with Pegasus. Takes me back nearly sixty years, to where I had my very first job. (y)

Very nice, Russell. Not just the bridge, but the scenery around it required some study to tell it was a model photo.

Very nice work, Candy. There's still nothing that compares to the old Revell wall sections for building a gritty looking old industrial building. Nice paint and weathering, too.

Interesting more pushers than pullers on that train. Mark, was that you down by the road next to the black truck ?

February 22, 1953 was a special day for the Pacific Electric. It marked the only time that a Pacific Electric PCC car went down the Airline. Fortunately, they ran the PCC’s down to Playa Desnuda almost every weekday during the summer for people to enjoy the beach view. Here we have the last car heading back to Los Angeles on June 11, 1952 as the sun is setting….Fortunately I had two cameras with me and I was able to get a decent picture with Kodachrome…
