    A long time ago, I worked with a guy who told me his uncle had operated a very well camouflaged still (I think he was from Kentucky-can't remember for sure now) until one cold morning when the sheriff drove by and noticed smoke coming out of the fencepost that hid the chimney....

    When in high school I learned how near the Wisconsin-Michigan boarder and to deliver to "special" taverns in the country. Then in the '90s I worked for a farmer in southern Wisconsin that had a federal license for the manufacturing for farm fuel. Of course the inspector speculated he also made Special Blend. And now the visitors at county recreation facilities sure are interested in that TV show.
    Of course Hemp was a major crop in the area earlier.
