Managed to get a couple of cars done this week! Proto 2000 PS 4427CF High Hip Covered Hopper kit, replaced the plastic roofwalk with a Plano version after drilling all the holes and applying the new supports. Painted the car with Floquil #20 Caboose Red and lettered with Oddballs Decals. Athearn 86' 2 Door Hi-Cube boxcar, removed the cast on grabs and replaced with wire grabs, painted the car with Floquil Platinum Mist and Scalecoat II IC Orange. Lettered the car with ICG Decals by Dan Kohlberg, I checked with Dan and these cars were used to moved fiberglass panels (like under car hoods) to the final assembly plants. Thanks for looking Rick Jesionowski
I will be finishing up the 9010 today, adding decal stripes and new Athearn Handrails...May even fix the handrails on the 9013 whist I'm at it...
I love your garage, Candy. Nicely detailed, per your high standard. I think one of the mechanics is having a bit of a row with the vending machine. That's motivational material, Russell.
I'm always amazed at the amount of work you get done, and the wide variety of cars you do. You must of a file cabinet full of decal packs
Yup. I worked late in the garages, many times. Actually enjoyed it, as the late after hours meant usually nobody would bother me. Cranked up the radio and listened to sports, music or some old time mystery show.
Gas, solvents, oils and grease, dirt, new or old tires, and, and..... *Sigh* Stirring up some memories!
Hytec, Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy scenery, obviously, and hope my photos will be an inspiration other modelers to 'step their game up!' Jim
Made some progress on my switch complex. Phase one is done... ground cover is down. Next will be the real fun stuff.... adding all the neat details and weathering up the parking lots and roads. Thanks, Wolf
