    At the Anchorage Museum they had a cool HO diorama depicting a yard during the building of the Alaska Railroad between 1914 and 1923.

    That's a very detailed and realistic model. A lot of great work went into reproducing such a scene from that era.

    Grainy B&W film would look great.

    I am impressed and awed... Kudos to that team! :notworthy:

    Somewhere there must be drawings or photos of the prototype for this. The kind of locomotive that you could drive down a dirt road.

    I got to ride a similar tractor, with 6' diameter wheels in back and an open cab. About 1966.

    I wonder if they ever put a 4 wheeled truck on the front and snow plow. To pull cars during ice storms.
