I decided to finish up a project I have been working on for over a year. An N scale Santa Fe Chair Car. I need to decal the other side, put windows in and then assemble.
While I'll admit a preference for the Eagle scheme, there is something very elegant(?) about many of the single-color passenger cars. Good stuff!
I have a few damaged freight cars on the work bench this weekend three of which are Intermountain CN PD covered hoppers. They seem to attract damage like no other car I have owned.
The SILVER LIZARD The only way I can afford an private rail car, is in HO scale. My friend Chris Hawkins modified an Athearn round roof coach into the Silver Lizard.
The roof effect was achieved by spray painting the roof silver, and then selecting panels and painting them with a Testors Silver paint pen. It's nice when you're young and can do things with a steady hand! Thanks for the complement.
I just finished building this Woodland Scenics Diamond T truck into a flat bed for hauling timber for the Zalma sawmill.
