Sorry I did not get this started earlier. I have been off the grid again without internet access.
    Here is an old one.

This was on the home layout tour during the N scale convention in Roanoke, Virginia. June 28, 2014.

I did manage to finish a couple of cars this week!

Kadee 40' Cushion Underframe PS1 kit, changed out the doors and painted with Scalecoat II Reefer Yellow and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. Car built in the early 60's and was assigned to Pillsbury in Bufallo, NY for finished food service.

Athearn 50' PC&F Ribbed Side RBL, added A-Line Sill Steps to car instead of the plastic kit supplied ones. Painted with a mixture of Scalecoat II White with a couple of drops of Roof Brown and Reefer Yellow to match the beige color the car was painted, lettered the car with Herald King Decals matching the picture in the Frisco Color Guide. Car was assigned to the Schlitz Brewing Co. in Memphis, TN hauling beer, which accounts for its color. The Frisco had a number of cars assigned to industries where the color determined its use.

    Thanks for looking!

Thought I'd put up a photo of my yard -- and a PFE train arriving at the deck for some much needed ice.

I always enjoy seeing your work Rick and want to thank you as well for often providing brief historic narratives on your cars. I find this sort of information fascinating and it surrounds your models with an additional layer of realism.

Painted some years ago is my aged "Old & Weary" N Scale M-T hopper using Northeast Decals. Finding photographs of actual NYO&W steel hoppers is difficult, especially those with the logo. I used a number of my books to source partial images and piece together a likely result.

Well I had me a little project this week. A lady customer wanted to display her deceased fathers O scale train from his childhood. So I asked if I can make a diorama for her and she loved the idea. I have no idea how this loco is supposed to be. But I imagine it was a 2-4-2 at one time. Tender is missing somewhere. Anyway it was a fun little project.. ☺
It ended up being a shelf when she needed a place to put children's books. [IMG][IMG]

Gene- Just take the number from the cab of that steamer, and Google it. All the information you wish should appear instantly. The same for the cars following.

Mikado Power! Well, after getting 4 LokSounds installed into my "newest" Mikados, thought I would get all of them out onto the layout at once

(sorry about glare on backdrop -- sun is reflecting off house's back windows, right into shed)

Made a video them in the yard. 7 minutes long, as each basically does the same thing

Unbelievably great sound, especially given the space restrictions in an N scale locomotive. Superb!

Candy, that's lovely. Though I don't think I've seen a "modern" building dedicated in 1929 look that clean, especially in slushy New England Wintahs.

That, Dear Lady, is Lovely Hair. Speaks well for your Modern Salon. Of course, they had an excellent basis to start from. (y)

P.S., your blue eyes blend beautifully with your brilliant red hair.

I like how this photo was framed. Seen as if I was across the street, possibly in another business' lot or traversing an alley.
