Great picture. The color is very flat and mostly brown. I think I will experiment with some colors on a section of old track
I us an old cheap paint brush with the bristles cut off short to spread the ballast, after that is done, the most important part is to take the brush by the bristles and smack the track lightly to knock the ballast off the sides of the rails and off the tops of the ties. It just makes it so much better and consider every car or loco kind of rattles the ballast on the prototype.
Wonder what flattened that near rail on the left side?
Wheel burn, locomotive spinning its wheels
I have some of that. I will experiment with it.
Good ideas ! I will make sure the ties and rails are cleaned first. Hope to show some results next week
Hey guys ! Great stuff this weekend.
I guess some BODY is coning in on the train...
One way ticket.
Let's make it an even 50
Candy, I like your new look.
Hardcoaler needs a length of that Lackawanna rail.
Thank you. Taken in Cape Cod. My Hollywood look
Looks like summer on the cape, I really miss summer today !! BRRRRRRR
Me too! I’m in NYC right now and the cold and wind is unbearable at times.
Yer darn tootin'! Woke up to -20C up here in the Great White North, right after we got a good dump of snow Tuesday and Wednesday. Two weeks ago it was +10C!
Could use a nice Alco 251 to warm up to... or fast forward to next summer...
