Last week our club had its open house to coicide with the Strongsville Historical Society's Christmas festival. Also, we had our Christmas Party so not much modeling got done last week. But I did take a few pictures! First off is the car I built for the Christmas gift exchange. We have a drawing and gifts are then taken from the previous person if they don't want to open the brown bag with the unknown gift. My car got traded numerous times before the end of gift exchange. This years car was in IMWX 1937 AAR 10' IH Boxcar. Painted the car with Floquil Jade Green and lettered the car with Champ Decals. Car is from the second lot of these cars the P&LE acquired. Now for a few shots of my Stewart C628 & C630 that I added the CalScale details for and decaled with data and numbers from various Microscale sets. They were hauling 36 of the Stewart G39 and G39A Ore Jennies replicating the trains coming off of Whiskey Island in Cleveland. Thanks for Looking! Rick J
Rick, your layout looks great. A shot from the loco service decks with a view of that train would be cool.
It's not my layout, it is the layout of the Strongsville Society of Model Railroad Engineers of which I am a member and the club members thank you for your comments. I just supply cars and locomotives for the club displays and help with maintenance and redoing new areas of the scenery. Rick J
